As you can see shiny Hisuian Typhlosion is far from exciting and seems to be taking a page from the Gen 1 shiny book. The only major change is that Hisuian Typhlosion's purple fur takes on an almost turquoise colour in its shiny form. Interestingly, Hisuian Typholosion's shiny form shares similar colouring to Johto Typhlosion's colouring.

Really it's a good thing Pokémon Go gives shiny Pokémon an icon or else you might not even notice you're catching a different form...

Hisuian Typhlosion debuted in the Pokémon universe in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch. It's an extinct regional variant for the final evolution of Cyndaquil, appearing alongside the other final evolutions for the other starter Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, which makes its Fire and Ghost-typing very fitting.

According to the Legends: Arceus Pokédex, Hisuian Typhlosion is 'said to purify lost, forsaken souls with its flames and guide them to the afterlife.' This entry connects this Pokémon to its possible inspiration - Kamuy-huci, the Ainu goddess of the hearth. Due to this she is considered the guardian of the home as the hearth sits in the centre of an Ainu house, called a cise or cisey. The hearth is also considered to be both where the dead dwell and a way for humans and the divine to communicate.

The connection between Hisuian Typhlosion and Kamuy-huci goes deeper when you consider that the Ainu are native to northern Japan, including Hokkaidō which is the island the Hisui, later known as the Sinnoh region, was based upon.
