Pok¨Śmon Go Landorus counters, weaknesses and moveset, including Therian Forme Landorus explained
How to beat the Abundance Pok¨Śmon in Pok¨Śmon Go!
Landorus, the Abundance Pokémon, can occasionally be found floating over the world of Pokémon Go.
Part of the Gen 5 Forces of Nature trio, Landorus is also known as 'the good one' in Pokémon Go, given how laughably bad the other two are. While Thundurus and Tornadus are mostly just Pokédex fillers - a shame as they are Legendary Pokémon - Landorus is actually fairly useful.
Like its cousins, Landorus has two Formes - Incarnate Forme and Therian Forme. It's tough to remember which is which, so for sake of ease: Incarnate is the 'sitting up' one and Therian is the 'sky cat', or 'Lando Catrissian' Forme. Each has its uses - and its own stats - and we’ll cover how to catch both in this guide.
Like other Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Go, Landorus can be found be in five-star raids. There's also a chance that you'll encounter Landorus as a reward for battling in the Go Battle League, depending on the Season in Pokémon Go.

Landorus counters and weaknesses in Pokémon Go
Here are the counters and weaknesses for Landorus - both Incarnate and Therian Formes - which will help you add it to your Pokédex in Pokémon Go:
- Landorus types: Flying and Ground-type
- Landorus is double-weak against: Ice-type attacks
- Landorus is weak against: Water-type attacks
- Landorus is strong against: Ground, Poison, Fighting, Electric and Bug-type attacks
- Landorus Mega counters: Mega Abomasnow, Mega Blastoise, Mega Gyarados, Primal Kyogre and Mega Glalie
- Landorus counters: Mamoswine, Galarian Darmanitan, Glaceon, Mewtwo (with Ice Beam),Kyogre and Abomasnow. Weavile is a great counter too, but beware how glassy it is!
- Number of players to beat Landorus: With a reasonable set of counters, three players at Level 40 is perfectly reasonable.
- Tactics: Double-weakness to Ice is snow joke. Bring a strong Mega Abomasnow to pump up your fellow Trainers’ Ice-type Pokémon and then make it rain (snow? hail?) with your strongest Ice-type attackers.
- Other Landorus notes: There is a shiny available, and shinies are caught automatically after a raid as long as you connect with one of your Premier Balls. Use a Pinap Berry, take a screenshot and then enjoy catching yourself a new shiny!

Everything we know about Landorus
Landorus acts as the master of the original Forces of Nature trio, which also includes Tornadus and Thundurus.
An additional Pokémon was added to this group in Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Enamorus - making this trio a quartet. It’s not yet in the game, but it’s one to be aware of at a later date!
As the master of the group, its Landorus’ duty to ensure that Tornadus and Thundurus don’t wreak havoc on the Unova region. This led the humans of this land to construct a shrine for Landorus in thanks for its protection.
Like Tornadus and Thundurus, Landorus represents a different physical domain of the world. Landorus, unsurprisingly, represents the land we walk upon, which is why it's the one who protects it from the other members of the trio.
Landorus also takes inspiration from the kami, a holy being from Shinto mythology, Inari Ōkami, who was the kami of foxes, agriculture, rice and fertility just to name a few.
The Therian Forme for Landorus was released alongside Pokémon Dream Radar, which was an app for the Nintendo 3DS.
Good luck catching Landorus - whichever form you're aiming for!
