The Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go was unlocked by players during Go Fest 2021.
During this event, you'll be able to complete the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time research quest and a collection of event exclusive field research tasks for a variety of rewards.
Dialga can also be battled in five-star raids throughout the event and, if you're lucky, you might be able to catch the shiny version of this legendary Pokémon!

- Catch 10 Pokémon - Diglett encounter
- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Drilbur encounter
- Catch 5 different species of Pokémon - 5 Nanab Berries
Rewards: 483 XP, 3 Ultra Balls and 10 PokéBalls
'Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time' Step 2 of 5
- Catch 5 Voltorb - Magnemite encounter
- Transfer 7 Pokémon - 7 Ultra Balls
- Send 3 Gifts to friends - 3 Pinap Berries

'Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time' Step 5 of 5
- Catch 15 Rock-type Pokémon - Onix encounter
- Win a raid - Shieldon encounter
- Power up Pokémon 7 times - Cranidos encounter
Rewards: 2000 Stardust, 30 PokéBalls and 3 Ultra Balls
The Wild Area 2024: Global event is this weekend! Throughout it you can catch Pokémon during the habitat hours, use Safari Balls, catch Mighty Pokémon, battle Gigantamax Toxtricity, obtain both Toxtricity Forms and catch a Studded Jacket Snorlax. If you've purchased an event ticket, you can also complete the An Accomplished Trainer quest. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Field research for the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go explained
Throughout the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go, you'll be able to collect a number of event exclusive field research tasks by spinning PokéStops or Gyms. These research tasks can be saved and completed after the event ends.
Here are the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time field research tasks:
- Earn a candy walking with your buddy reward - 3 Ultra Balls
- Hatch an Egg reward - Shieldon encounter
- Spin 10 PokéStops or Gyms reward - 10 PokéBalls
- Win a raid in under 60 seconds reward - Cranidos encounter
- Catch 3 Pokémon with weather boost reward - 2 Pinap Berries

Everything else you need to know about the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go
The Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go sees the return of Dialga to five-star raids, along with Pokémon like Porygon2 and Golurk in three-stars raids. You'll also be able to battle Unown U, Cranidos, Shieldon, Bronzor and Klink in one-star raids throughout the event.
This event also sees the release of the shiny forms of Dialga, Cranidos and Shieldon!
If you collect any 7km eggs during the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event, it will have the following egg pool:
- Omanyte
- Kabuto
- Aerodactyl
- Lileep
- Anorith
- Cranidos
- Shieldon
Finally, like all events, certain Pokémon will appear more frequently during the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event. These Pokémon include:
- Voltorb
- Porygon

- Lileep

Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time date and times in Pokémon Go explained
The Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go runs from Friday, 23rd July to Tuesday, 3rd August; it starts at 10am (local time) and ends at 8pm (local time).
Since Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time is a timed research quest, it will no longer be available once the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event ends. This means that, if you want to collect all of its possible rewards, you need to complete Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time before the event ends.
The raid pool will also change once the event is over, so, if you want to catch a Dialga, make sure you do before Tuesday, 3rd August!
