Pok¨Śmon Go Investigating Illusions quest steps, rewards and price explained
Everything you need to know about the Community Day exclusive quest.
Investigating Illusions was a quest in Pokémon Go.
Similar to A Colossal Discovery and A Drive to Investigate, it was a paid-for only event which could only be accessed by paying real-world money.
A key difference, however, is it was only available during April 2020's Community Day for Abra. And, unlike other quests, it could only be started and finished during the event time.

How Investigating Illusions worked in Pokémon Go
'Investigating Illusions' was the third paid in-game event to occur in Pokémon Go, following in the footsteps of A Colossal Discovery and A Drive to Investigate.
Taking place on Saturday, April 25th 2020, it could only be accessed during Abra Community Day in Pokémon Go - and unlike other events, must have been fully completed before it concluded.
But with four short steps, and the ability to play it solo with the Covid 19 outbreak in mind, this was achievable for most players.
'Investigating Illusions' also worked slightly differently to other Special Research quests for Mythical Pokémon such as Jirachi, in the sense the end reward wasn't for a new Pokémon.
Instead, it mainly rewarded Stardust, XP and consumable items as part of catching and evolving Abra, the focus of that day's Community Day.

Beyond the 'Investigating Illusions' event badge, there are no exclusive items or rewards during the quest you cannot get through other means.
