How Genesect's event 'A Drive to Investigate works in Pokémon Go, Genesect event date and time explained
'A Drive to Investigate' is the second paid in-game event to occur in Pokémon Go. Following in the footsteps of 'A Colossal Discovery,' this event will have no set location and be available to every Pokémon Go player across the world.
Pokémon Go's 'A Drive to Investigate' will start on Friday, 20th March at 8am in your local time zone and end on Thursday, 26th March at 10pm in your local time zone.
To partake in this event you must purchase a ticket before or at any point throughout the event.
If you do decide to buy a ticket before the event is released, a time-limited Special Research quest, 'A Drive to Investigate,' will become available to you from Friday, 20th March onwards.
If you purchase a ticket while the event is running, this Special Research quest will become available shortly after your transaction.
'A Drive to Investigate' will work similarly to the Special Research questlines released for Mythical Pokémon like Jirachi and the previous paid in-game event, 'A Colossal Discovery.'
The storyline will be broken down into several steps, which will each contain three individual challenges that you need to complete. You'll be rewarded for each individual challenge and step you complete.
Once you've made your way to the end of the Special Research tasks, you'll be given the opportunity to catch Genesect - the Paleozoic Pokémon.
If you're unable to complete 'A Drive to Investigate' during the event's time period, then you will still be able to finish it after the 26th of March.
The only restriction is that you must collect the Special Research task before the event ends on Thursday, 26th March.
Do this all you need to do is purchase a ticket and then turn on Pokémon Go throughout this event, which will ensure that 'A Drive to Investigate' is added to your Special Research collection.
