New Skyward Sword details at TGS
Watch out, Beedle's about.
Nintendo revealed a slew of new details about Skyward Sword, the new Zelda game that's launching later this year, at it's pre-TGS conference.
Shigeru Miyamoto took to the stage brandishing a Master Sword and Hylian Shield, which he swiftly swapped for a Wiimote and Nunchuck combination to demo Skyward Sword.
While the core fundamentals of Skyward Sword have already been revealed, the extended demo debuted the return of a few fan favourites.
Beedle, the characterful shopkeeper who first appeared in the Gamecube's Wind Waker, was spotted early on.
The demo also saw Link use double hookshots as he moved from pillar to pillar in one stretch.
There was also a peek at a device that looked suspiciously like Mario's FLUDD device from the divisive Super Mario Sunshine, with Link brandishing it to clear dust from a sandy area.
Finally, the Windfish from Gameboy classic Link's Awakening made an appearance at the demo's end - proving that Skyward Sword will be rich in fan service if nothing else.
Over 100 minutes of cut-scenes will be included, promising a meaty story will be present. The game also boasts a boss rush mode and hint system similar to Ocarina of Time 3D.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword releases this November.
