Below, we'll cover any and all of the obtainable Pokémon, item locations, trainers and their squads that you might encounter in the area, as well as walking you through any key steps of the story along the way.
We've also opted to break out walkthrough pages down into sections, referring to each of your visits to a given location, seeing as you often backtrack or revisit various places in your quest to become Champion! Where applicable, we'll split our page into one section for each visit, and of course if there are any, clearly mark any spoilers, too!

Pokémon Let's Go: Cinnabar Island
Cinnabar Island is a tiny plot of land that is packed full of things to do, with the Pokémon Lab, Pokémon Mansion, the Gym and of course the usual generally interesting characters to talk to, too.
Before diving into the mini-dungeon that is the Pokémon Mansion and your search for Blaine, it's worth quickly running through the other things you can do in town. The most obvious is a visit to the Lab, the building in the bottom left of the small island.
Inside the lab there are some intersting people to talk to, but most interesting is the Experimental Room, at the right right end of the corridor.
In there, talk to the man in the top right of the room to have any fossils you own, such as the Dome or Helix Fossil you got way back in Mt. Moon, or the Old Amber you received on your return to the Pewter City Museum, revived into a living Pokémon!
Otherwise, there's another Alolan Pokémon trader in town - the Punk Guy in Pokémon Center will trade his Alolan Meowth for your regular one.

Head over to the Pokémon Gym when you're done exploring town - but when you get there you'll notice something's up. Blaine, the Fire-type specialist Gym Leader, is missing. Apparently he's a fan of quiz shows though, and he's left a clue for you on the door. You'll need to find him in the Pokémon Mansion, the large building in the top left corner of town.
Head back to our main Pokémon Let's Go walkthrough and guide hub for all our pages in one place, including detailed, step-by-step help for tough spots like Cerulean Cave, and the Elite Four, plus tough dungeons like Silph Co., Seafoam Islands and Victory Road. Otherwise, take a peek(achu) at our Pokémon Let's Go TM list and all TM locations, Let's Go's starter locations and how to get Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, along with how to get Mew in Let's Go, and how to get Meltan in Let's Go and Go too. Beyond that we also explain how connect Pokémon Go to Let's Go on Nintendo Switch and transfer Pokémon, Catching, catch combos, and how to catch Pokémon, a quick collection of our best Pokémon Let's Go tips and tricks to get you off to a great start, and finally what we know about the Pokémon Pass app distribution event too.
Pokémon Let's Go: Pokémon Mansion and Blaine's location
Pokémon Mansion is a surprisingly expansive but, thankfully, relatively simple dungeon, with several floors: four above ground, going from 1F to 4F, and one basement level, B1F, below.
The fastest way to find Blaine is to work your way all the way to the top floor, 4F, and then down the long ladder in the bottom right corner of 4F to a walled-off corner of 1F, and down the stairs from there to the basement, where you'll find the Secret Key to the Cinnabar Island Gym in B1F's bottom left room.
That's a little easier said than done though, because each floor has some locked doors, and you'll need to navigate your way through or around them to progress. Thankfully the system's a little easier here than previous dungeons. Each floor has a statue with glowing eyes - interact with it and it'll open the locked doors on that floor (and in some clases, close some others on that floor). They only affect the doors on their own floor, and they don't reset, so just toggle them on and off to get to the areas you need to reach.
That means your free to explore with relative ease. There are a handful of trainers to battle but they aren't too challenging, and they're not really the most interesting thing about the place either.
What's really interesting is the information you can find in the large, open books dotted around on tables on each floor, whcih are well worth a read and provide some context to what's been going on down on the basement (and a tease at something for you to tackle in Let's Go's end game...)
Finally, note that you can take a rest in the beds on B1F when you get there if you need to heal your Pokémon, just to save you a trip back to the Pokémon Center! Oh, and don't use the warp pad at the bottom of the long ladder unless you're definitely all done. It's one-way, so you have to go the long way round to get back there again!

Pokémon Let's Go Cinnabar Island Gym, Blaine Gym Battle and quiz answers
Once you've found the Secret Key then, it's time to head back to the Cinnabar Island Gym, which you can now enter.
Inside, you'll soon realise the Gym Leader Blaine has a rather quirky idea of what constitutes a Gym: he's set it up like a gameshow, with him as the host and you as the unwitting participant.
You need to answer five questions to battle him. The first four, if you guess wrong, will result in a battle with one of his Gym trainers (but you can still progress to battling him regardless). The fifth doesn't have a right or wrong answer: whatever you say will result in a battle with Blaine himself.
The main thing to note here is that, if you battle all of the available trainers by answering the questions incorrectly, you'll have to tackle them and Blaine himself without leaving to heal up your Pokémon. That shouldn't be too much trouble, because you'll probably have a decent Water-type or Ground-type Pokémon that can wipe through all of them, but it's worth bearing in mind.
