Watch 10 minutes of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate gameplay
There's a Vita and 3DS spin-off, remember?
Armature has released a new video showcasing 10 minutes of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate gameplay footage.
The footage, captured from the Vita version of the game (there's a 3DS version, too) and narrated by Armature game director Mark Pacini, showcases Blackgate's 2.5D Metroidvania-style gameplay as well as the prison level design.
We also get a good look at how Armature reworked techniques such as Detective Mode, which players of the home console Arkham games will be familiar with, to fit the 2.5D perspective and the Vita's touchscreen. We also see Batman in combat and stealth situations.
Armature was set up in 2008 by key Metroid Prime developers Pacini, Todd Keller (art director) and Jack Mathews (principle technology engineer). All three were veterans of the Metroid Prime trilogy. Blackgate launches tomorrow alongside Arkham Origins, developed by Warner Bros. Montreal.
