Solosis 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Solosis in Pok¨Śmon Go
Despite the shiny absence, there's still plenty of reasons to catch as many Solosis as possible.
There is no shiny Solosis currently in Pokémon Go, but that doesn't mean you should ignore this week's Spotlight Hour.
This page explains why you should invest some time in catching Solosis during the hour-long window - such as a chance to find a 100% perfect IV Solosis - and a preview of shiny Solosis for when they finally arrive in Pokémon Go.
While this Spotlight Hour falls in a quiet period for Pokémon Go, you can still partake in the Go Battle League, the Season of Heritage bonuses and, if you've pre-purchased a Go Tour: Johto ticket, January's XP challenge.

Solosis' 100% perfect IV in Pokémon Go
If you want a Solosis with perfect IV stats, then this week's Spotlight Hour in Pokémon Go is the perfect opportunity for you.
A Solosis with 100% stats can, after being evolved twice, become a Reuniclus, which is a good psychic-type choice for the Go Battle League and raids. You may also want to evolve it simply for the Pokédex entries.
The CP values which correspond to perfect 15/15/15 values are as follows:
- Level 30 (wild CP maximum) - 1172 CP
- Level 35 (weather boosted CP maximum) - 1270 CP
It's important to remember that the wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach Level 30. The CP values will be different from the ones above if you're currently below Level 30, but, since the majority of the player base is above Level 30, we kept to the values for simplicity's sake.
Is there a shiny Solosis in Pokémon Go?
There is no shiny Solosis in Pokémon Go at the time of writing.
Despite this fact, there's a chance Solosis will be a Community Day candidate sometime in the future due to its multiple evolutions and its potential to become a strong psychic-type. If this is the case, then we can expect it's shiny form to be released as part of this event and, if not, then it might be released during a psychic themed event.
We can, however, bring you a preview of what shiny Solosis will look like thanks to the mainline Pokémon games.
What does shiny Solosis look like?
Shiny Solosis is coloured blue rather than the typical green and you can see how it looks in Pokémon Sword and Shield at the 2:25 mark in the following video by Diegomkw on YouTube:
If you want to revisit Solosis' debut in Pokémon Black and White, then here's shiny Solosis at the 1:37 mark in the following video by Olig on YouTube:
Other reasons to catch as many Solosis as possible
Even though there's currently no chance of finding a shiny Solosis, there are a number of reasons to partake in this week's Spotlight Hour:
- This week's bonus is double transfer candy and, if your Pokémon storage is nearly full, then it's the perfect time for a clear out. The extra candy you gain will help you both evolve and power up, including Solosis.
- Since Reuniclus - Solosis' final evolution - is a good psychic-type Pokémon, this Spotlight Hour is the perfect opportunity to stock up on candy. You can use this to power up and evolve your chosen Solosis to transform it into a good contender for the Go Battle League.
- Catching a bunch of Solosis will contribute to your psychic-type catch bonus medal, which is very useful if you're close to reaching the platinum level.
Spotlight Hour, as the name suggests, also lasts for an hour - from 6pm to 7pm (local time). Don't worry, however, if you can't partake this week, because, next Tuesday, the week focuses on Diglett and has a double catch stardust bonus.
