Generation 6 has arrived in Pok¨Śmon Go!
The Kalos Celebration Event research quest is a timed research quest that celebrates the release of Gen 6 in Pokémon Go!
This research quest will challenge you to track down and catch the new Gen 6 Pokémon for a variety of rewards, including Mega Energy for multiple Pokémon.
You'll also be able to collect a number of field research tasks exclusive to the Kalos Celebration event, which will not only help you complete the timed research, but add entries to the Kalos section of your Pokédex.

'Kalos Celebration Event' quest steps in Pokémon Go
Below you'll find all of the challenges and rewards that the Kalos Celebration Event research quest consists of. Be careful, however, as this section does contain spoilers, so, if you'd rather be surprised, we recommend skipping this section.
It's also important to remember that Kalos Celebration Event research will only be available during the Kalos Celebration event and, once that event ends, this research quest will disappear and never return. This means that if you want any of the rewards listed below, you need to complete those challenges before the end of the event.

Field research tasks and everything you need to know about the Kalos Celebration event in Pokémon Go
Throughout the Kalos Celebration event in Pokémon Go, you'll be able to collect a number of exclusive field research quests from spinning PokéStops. These tasks can be saved and completed after the event ends, but you can only collect them during the event.
Below you can find the field research tasks for the Kalos Celebration event:
- Catch 3 Normal-type Pokémon reward - Bunnelby

Aside from the field research quests and timed research quest, the obvious reason to take part in the Kalos Celebration event is that Gen 6 has been released into Pokémon Go!
During this event, you'll be able to battle Gen 6 Pokémon in raids, such as Espurr, and maybe even hatch one from an egg, as a number of Gen 6 Pokémon are now permanent features in the egg pools.
The Gen 6 Pokémon also have a boosted spawn rate throughout the Kalos Celebration event:

- Froakie
- Bunnelby
- Fletchling

Kalos Celebration Event dates and times in Pokémon Go explained
The Kalos Celebration event celebrates the release of Gen 6 into Pokémon Go and starts the Season of Celebration off with a bang.
Both the Kalos Celebration event research quest and the exclusive field research tasks are only available during this event, which runs from Wednesday, 2nd December, starting at 10am (local time), till Tuesday, 8th December, ending at 10pm (local time).
The Kalos Celebration Event research quest consists of six quests, with rewards for each individual challenge and overall quest step.If you want to earn all of these rewards, you need to ensure that you complete the Kalos Celebration Event research quest before the end of the event itself, because, like all timed research, the questline will vanish alongside the event.
