UPDATE 13/07/2016 10.10am: Pokémon Go is getting closer to the UK - it has become available in Germany.
The German roll-out of the app follows word that The Pokémon Company had paused its release for the game due to the incredible amount of interest - and therefore pressure on its servers.
We can only hope this means the UK launch is now on the horizon.

UPDATE 07/07/2016 1.51am: Pokémon Go is now available in the US on both iOS and Android. We're still awaiting an official UK launch, but it's looking like that won't be long.
Still, you can download Pokémon Go right now in the UK and US on Android devices with this quick workaround.
If you have the app already and are struggling with the way Pokémon GO drains your battery life, you should be aware this is a "known issue".
You'll also likely want to know Pokémon Go's microtransaction prices in advance, just so you know what you're getting yourself into.
ORIGINAL STORY 06/07/2016 3.02am: Pokémon Go, the free-to-play augmented reality game about capturing virtual Pokémon in real-world locales, has just been released in Australia and New Zealand and will presumably make its way to Europe and North America shortly. We'll update when that happens.
But for those in the far east, Pokémon Go is available on both the iOS App Store and Android's Google Play.
Developed by Ingress creators Niantic Labs, Pokémon Go is a free-to-play game in which players all over the world will find Pokémon hiding in plain sight with different creatures only available in certain countries.
As you walk around, your smartphone will vibrate when you're in the vicinity of a Pokémon. You'll then have to toss a Poké Ball at them to capture the rogue critters.
"Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment - look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans," the developer hinted. "Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items."
Pokémon Go has only officially launched in a couple of countries, although you can download Pokémon Go right now in the UK and US on Android devices with this quick workaround.
