Pok¨Śmon Go Alolan Pok¨Śmon Forms list, how to get Alolan Raichu, Alolan Marowak and other Alola Pok¨Śmon
Everything we know so far about the incoming Alolan Forms of Kanto Pok¨Śmon.
Pokémon Go Alolan Pokémon have arrived, introducing a new type of creature to catch while exploring out in the wild.
It's a bit of a break from form for Pokémon Go and developer Niantic - Alolan Forms were introduced in Gen 7 of the main games (Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon), and we're only up to Gen 3 at the time of writing! - but seeing as there's a bit of history there for elements of Alola creeping into Pokémon Go, maybe it's less surprising than we first thought.
We now know how to get all forms - including the most recently added Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak.
Additionally, our Alolan Forms list provides you with images and differences with these Alolan Forms' new types, so you know which Kanto Pokémon have Alolan Forms.

How do Alolan Pokémon work in Pokémon Go?
Alolan Forms are visually and often statistically different version of Pokémon - giving them different Types and properties - and first debuted in the main games are exclusively found in the Gen 7 region of Alola.
Alolan Pokémon appear as Forms, similar to other creatures with multiple Forms such as Castform.
Though they won't take up a new Pokedex entry, they will have their own field within that entry, which is also how Shinies work.
Like Castform, these Alolan Forms will show up as silhouettes on your radar, helping you find them easier.
Because they are Forms, the good news is they share the Candy of the Pokémon they based on. So if you have plenty of Grimer Candy from when you have caught them in the past, and hatch an Alolan Grimer, you can instantly evolve it into an Alolan Muk.
Also, as of June 2019, all Alolan Pokemon can be shiny.
How to get every currently available Alolan Pokémon in Pokémon Go
Interestingly, Alolan Pokémon are being released in a variety of ways, instead of a simple broad 'luck-based encounter' method with Shinies:
- Alolan Rattata, Raticate: Available in the wild as a common encounter, while Raticate is available by evolving
- Alolan Grimer, Meowth, Sandshrew and Vulpix: Available in 7km Eggs as part of the Gifts feature
- Alolan Muk, Persian, Sandslash, Ninetails, Graveler and Golem: Evolved after catching their prior evolution in 7km Eggs
- Alolan Diglett, Geodude: Available in 7km Eggs and the wild as uncommon encounters
- Alolan Exeggutor, Raichu, Marowak: Tier 2, 3 and 4 Raid battles as of July 19th 2018
The Dual Destiny Season is here! It begins with the Just My Cup of Tea event, which also sees the arrival of Sinistea and the Dual Destiny quest in Pokémon Go! You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
