Assassin's Creed for 360, PC
Like you weren't expecting it?
It might be the least surprising announcement of the day, but it's still never-the-less exciting. Assassin's Creed is coming to Xbox 360 and PC.
Originally touted as a PS3-only title, publisher Ubisoft has announced the Xbox 360 version will arrive at the same time as the PS3 title, while the US division of the publisher confirmed to GameSpot that the title would grace the PC at some point in the future.
Set in 1191 AD during the Crusades, Assassin's Creed promises plenty of medieval stealth action with what looks like some of the nicest visuals on the next-gen systems.
Oh, and it's being developed by the team behind Prince of Persia and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, which is enough for us to rub our collective chins in respect.
Ubisoft is confident about it too. "With Assassin's Creed we're introducing a franchise that will establish itself as the must-have next-generation game for the next-generation gamer," said Serge Hascoet when talking about next-generation games in the next-generation.
"Early 2007", is the date being bandied about by Ubisoft as a release date. Although that's not really a date, just a vague period of time.
