Judgment QR code locations to upgrade Drone Parts explained
Where to find parts to upgrade your flying companion.
Judgment QR codes are littered throughout the game, and finding them will give you new Drone Parts.
Drone races see you go up against against champions from Kamurocho, and getting these Drone Parts and Drone Upgrades - which can also be obtained through Quickstarter - gives you an edge in races.
Though the starting version of your Drone might do just fine investigating crime scenes, it can barely stand the first few races against beginner competitors. If you plan to follow this side activity and become an airborne professional, developing Drone Parts is essential.
Additionally, some parts even give your Drone a new sense of style with different colours and patterns, in case the default palette doesn't suit you.
We explain how to get started with Drone Races, finding Drone Parts and where to find all 55 QR code locations in Judement.

How to start Drone Races and collecting QR codes for Drone Parts in Judgment
To begin, once you do the first main missions in Chapter 2 after exiting your office, a side story will unlock after Yagami stumbles upon a Drone driver. He will let you know about Drone Races, which will lead to you registering for League Kamurocho in the Millennium Tower.
Along with getting a Speed upgrade for free by the drone driver (who's name is later revealed as Makihara) during the conversation, you'll unlock the Lab, where you can further customize your own flying friend
Materials for Drone Parts can be found as prizes for mini games or scattered throughout the city. Some are only found in places accessible by your drone, too, using QR codes.
To get started with collecting QR codes, you'll want to take part in the Grand Prix, which can be accessed from the Drone stand inside the Millennium Tower. It takes you around five consecutive races, and if you're the winner, you'll be set.
Right after that, a new character will appear behind the stand, who's name is Sebastian Hutton. He's the one that commands Yagami into a scavenger hunt throughout Kamurocho, looking for a total of 55 QR codes that will unlock one special part for your drone in 5 categories: Frame Parts, Motor Parts, Propeller Parts, Turbo Parts, and ESC parts.
Developing Drone Parts is done by the Lab in the same stand where you obtain races and start championships inside the Millennium Tower. Thing is, having the blueprints isn't enough, as you'll also need the required materials for each part.
But don't fret - once you unlock Drone Races, these materials will begin to appear in many parts of Kamurocho, both outdoors and indoors. There are literally dozens of them scattered throughout the streets, so it's likely you'll be obtaining them as you go. Plus, they respawn fairly quickly, so you can revisit the same spot as many times as you need to.
The rewards for each category after obtaining all QR codes are as follows:
- Frame codes: SMZ: Chariot line
- Motor codes: Modded Thunder God Motor
- Propeller codes: Modded Wind Propeller
- Turbo codes: Modded God Speed Turbo
- ESC codes: Modded Akashic ESC
How to unlock Quickstarter and the QR Code Compendium, and Quickstarter Drone Parts explained
One element in Judgment that can help you to locate these QR codes is the Quickstarter app. After your first Paradise VR mission, once you leave the facility and head towards the Don Quijote on the next corner, a friend event with a man wearing a suit called Fujimori will trigger. After a brief explanation and a crystal clear reference to Kickstarter, the app is added to your smartphone.
If you select the QR Code Compendium project, which will require ¥200,000 to be funded, a radar will be added to your mini map whenever you're close to a poster that has an eligible QR code, along with a distinct sound beeping in the background.
First, though, you'll need to purchase the skill Code Hunter, which costs 500 SP. The book will later be delivered to your office's mailbox, and once you accept it, the skill will become available from your phone.
Along with the QR Code Compendium, you can also fund and obtain 4 Drone Parts through the Quickstarter app. These are the following:
- Propeller Part: Hyper Propeller H - Costs ¥200,000
- Motor Part: Super Motor S - Costs ¥100,000
- ESC Part: Low-Cost ESC - Costs ¥100,000
- Turbo: Low-Cost Turbo - Costs ¥100,000
