Fantastic Flora and Fauna start time and how the Brilliant Event works in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna is the first limited event for Harry Potter Wizards Unite.

It will run from July 3rd to July 10th, with a start time of:

• UK: 6pm (BST)
• Europe: 7pm (CEST)
• East Coast US: 1pm (EDT)
• West Coast US: 10am (PDT)

Once the 10th July has come and gone, you'll no longer be able to take part in the event or claim any rewards.

Throughout the event there will be a variety of activities to complete, including Special Assignments, 7km Brilliant Portkey Portmanteaus to be opened and Brilliant Foundables to be found.

Unlike Daily and SOS Assignment, these Special Assignments only appear during a Brilliant Event.

There are four sets of Special Assignments specifically for Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna. Each Special Assignment contains three different tasks.

Completing a task will give you one reward, while completing a Special Assignment set will give you three. Remember - you must collect your rewards before the Brilliant Event ends on July 10th. If you leave any rewards unclaimed then they are lost forever.

Here are all four sets of Special Assignments and their rewards for Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna. Warning - there are spoilers below if you don't want to learn what each Assignment entails, before you complete it.

• Return 2 Foundables of any Family (Reward: 2 Restricted Section Books )
• Unlock 1 Portkeys (Reward: 15 Brilliant Family XP)
• Dine at Inns 2 Times (Reward: 10 Brilliant Family XP)

Rewards: 500 XP, 20 Brilliant Family XP, 2 Restricted Section Books

'Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna' Step 2 of 4

• recover 2 Brilliant Buckbeak Foundables (Reward: 300 XP)
• Perform 2 Great spellcasts (Reward: 15 Brilliant Family XP)
• Return 3 Magizoology Foundables (Reward: 10 Brilliant Family XP)

Rewards: Tree Stump Foundable, 25 Brilliant Family XP, 3 Restricted Sections Book

'Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna' Step 3 of 4

• Return 7 Medium Threat Founables (Reward: 400 XP)
• Recover 2 Brilliant Unicorn Foundables (Reward: 500 XP)
• Return 4 Care of Magical Creatures Foundable (Reward: 15 Brilliant Family XP)

Rewards: 2 Exstimulo Potions, 25 Brilliant Family XP, 3 Restricted Section Books

• Unlock 5 Portkeys (Reward: 750 XP)
• Brew 7 Potions (Reward: 10 Brilliant Family XP)
• Complete 3 Wizarding Challenges (Reward: 15 Brilliant Family XP)

Reward: Special Hat for your Avatar Picture, Salamander Foundable, 50 Gold, 5 Restricted Section Books

How to find Brilliant Foundables in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Throughout Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna you will be able to add Brilliant Foundables to the Brilliant Forbidden Forest page in your Registry.

You can find this page by opening your Registry and then pressing on 'Events,' which can be found in the bottom right hand corner of the tab.

There are six Brilliant Foundables to collect in total. Below you'll find a handy chart that covers all the Brilliant Forbidden Forest Foundables, where you find them and how many fragments you need to complete them.

What are Brilliant Traces in Harry Potter Wizards Unite?

Brilliant Traces only appear during a Brilliant Event. Just like with regular Traces, selecting one will take you to a Foundable that needs to be freed from a Confoundable. Only these Foundables will be specific to the Brilliant Event.

Brilliant Traces are purple with an exclamation mark on them and a beam of purple light running through them.

How to find and use Brilliant Runestones in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

As you collect Brilliant Foundables and complete Special Assignments, your Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna Ranking will increase. When you increase this ranking you will receive Brilliant Runestones, which can be used in the Wizarding Challenges that can be found in the Fortresses.

If you successfully complete a Wizarding Challenge while using a Brilliant Runestone, you may be rewarded with a Brilliant Foundable Fragment.

What to do with Restricted Section Books in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Restricted Section Books are books that can only be obtained during Brilliant Events. Like Scrolls and Red Spell Book, they are used to level up your chosen Profession and unlock new Strategic Spells.

You will only receive a certain number of Restricted Section Books per Brilliant event, 15 for Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna, so make your choices wisely.

Other things to know about Brilliant Event: Fantastic Flora and Fauna:

• Make sure you save two to three Silver Keys for the 7km Brilliant Portkey Portmanteaus. This will save you a lot of time, especially if you want to fill in the Brilliant Forbidden Forest Registry page - you might not get a Snargaluff on your first try!
• If you're stuck on performing a Great Spellcast, then try drinking a Exstimulo Potion as it will temporarily improve your spell casts.
• Take the time to read through which each Strategic Spell does before you use those Restricted Section Books - you can only use those precious tomes once.
