Dragon Quest VI remake heads west
SNES classic translated for first time.
DS RPG remake Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation will be accepting US adventurers from 14th February 2011.
Despite suggestions earlier this year that the game had been shelved, it has now been confirmed that the update of the formerly Japan-only SNES classic will be heading west.
Just as it did with this year's excellent Dragon Quest IX, Nintendo has stepped in to publish.
Realms of Revelation follows a similar template to 2009's Dragon Quest V revamp, Hand of the Heavenly Bride. The visuals have been given a full makeover, the battle system has been tweaked and new touch screen controls added.
The game originally came out in Japan on the SNES back in 1995 but, like its predecessor, was never localised.
A spokesperson for Nintendo UK was unable to confirm whether the game would be heading to Europe. "We've not announced anything yet," they explained.
