Diablo III Wizard shown at BlizzCon
Plus StarCraft II beta keys for attendees.
Blizzard's CEO Mike Morhaime has revealed the latest class for Diablo III - the Wizard.
Morhaime also said that attendees would all be given access to the StarCraft II beta, with the keys buried within BlizzCon goody bags.
Speaking to the packed hall at BlizzCon, the Blizzard boss said: "There is one more piece of Diablo III news... The third playable class, also playable at BlizzCon, the Wizard."
A video of in-game footage was shown featuring the new character entering a dungeon and fending off ghouls and ghosts. The Wizard displayed an array of new talents, including chain lighting, forcefields that bounce attacks and a range of fire and ice spells, some of which returns from previous Diablos.
As usual, Blizzard then updated Diablo3.com with information on the Wizard in the form of writings from Abd al-Hazir. Tsk - that guy.
Al-Hazir reckons the Wizard lacks manners. "Originally under the guidance of the Zann Esu mage clan, she was eventually handed over to the Vizjerei in the hopes that their strict and unbending discipline would break her anarchic spirit. Yet even the esteemed Vizjerei instructors were unable to rein her in."

The playable Diablo III build also features the Barbarian and Witch Doctor classes unveiled at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational event earlier this year.
As yet though, there's no word on a release date for the PC/Mac title.
Diablo III, along with StarCraft II and Wrath of the Lich King, is now playable at the event, which Blizzard has said is its largest BlizzCon, selling out of tickets in 15 minutes.
