Pok¨Śmon Let's Go Cerulean City and Misty Gym Battle - available Pok¨Śmon, items and trainers
Our complete Pok¨Śmon Let's Go walkthrough and guide to your big adventure with Pikachu or Eevee.
Cerulean City and the Misty Gym Battle is your next objective, following on from Route 4 west in your quest through Pokémon Let's Go's main story.
Below, we'll cover any and all of the obtainable Pokémon, item locations, trainers and their squads that you might encounter in the area, as well as walking you through any key steps of the story along the way.
We've also opted to break out walkthrough pages down into sections, referring to each of your visits to a given location, seeing as you often backtrack or revisit various places in your quest to become Champion! Where applicable, we'll split our page into one section for each visit, and of course if there are any, clearly mark any spoilers, too!

Pokémon Let's Go: Cerulean City and Cerulean City Gym
Enter Cerulean City and, as soon as you step into town, your buddy Pokémon will tell you they're excited about the fountain - throw some money in if you like.
A Chop Down-able tree blocks your progression to the south, whilst a Police Officer is blocking the entrance to a house in the north-west corner of town, due to a robbery.
That means there are two things you can do: battle the Gym Leader in town, Misty, or poke around chatting to people and go exploring on Route 24 and 25 to the north. We recommend you talk to the people in town first, and then tackle Misty's Gym, before heading north!
Of particular interest before you enter the gym is a lady in a house in the central left side of town, right in front of you as you enter the city. Talk to her, and if you've caught enough Pokémon - 30 or more in total - she'll gift you one of the original three starter Pokémon: Bulbasaur!
This Bulbasaur also has some pretty great stats - it's guaranteed that one stat is ranked as 'best' and two as 'fantastic' - so it's likely that it's better than any that you caught back in Viridian Forest, unless you got extremely lucky. It'll also come in very handy against Misty's Water-type Pokémon in the gym, if you want to train it up!
Other points of interest include the Tamer - a man who looks like he works in a circus - in the Pokémon Center, who'll teach your partner Pokémon some special (and very powerful) moves, that we absolutely recommend checking out.
There's also a lady on the left in the Pokémon Center who'll trade you her Alolan Rattata - which is Dark-type (there aren't many of those at all in Kanto) - in exchange for one of your regular Rattata. This lady is the first of many Alolan Pokémon traders who you'll find in Pokémon Ceners around Kanto!
Talk to the man in the Bike Shop about all three types of Bike (go up to them and interact with them one at a time) and you'll get 5x Heart Scales, and finally note that after you do beat Misty, Lures will become available to buy in Poké Marts for the first time, which is handy.

Pokémon Let's Go: Cerulean City revisited - how to get through the locked house
We mentioned that house in the top right of town that's blocked by the Police Officer earlier... well it turns out that's your only way to exit town and progress the story.
After beating Misty at the Cerulean City Gym, head north onto Route 24 and 25. Once you've completed your short quest up there, when you return to town you'll encounter the Officer again, but this time she's having trouble with a pesky Squirtle that's misbehaving, and runs off after it.
You can now enter that burgled house and exit through the big whole in the wall they made on the other side! Be prepared for a (pretty easy) battle on the other side.
Available Items
Item | Location |

TM10 Dig | Team Rocket Grunt |
Burn Heal | Bottom left of the area you can access through the burgled house |
