No Juiced for Wii just yet
Developer won't adopt one-size-fits-all approach.
Juiced 2 project lead Richard Badger believes that the porting approach taken by some racing games is unsuitable for Wii, and has told Eurogamer that this is the reason his game won't be appearing on the Nintendo format.
"If I was doing a Juiced on the Wii, I would look at what the Wii's all about," Badger told Eurogamer at a recent press event. "I don't want to play Need for Speed: Carbon on the Wii, though I'll happily play it on PS3 or 360. For the Wii version, I'd want something different," he explained.
Ooh, but is that a sly hint of something else in development? "No," said THQ, when we asked them. Spoilsports. They wouldn't rule out the possibility of a future Wii project in the Juiced series, but for the moment there's certainly nothing to announce.
As you'll know if you've read this morning's Juiced 2 preview, however, THQ's racer is on its way to a number of formats this autumn, including PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, so there should be no shortage of outlets if you fancy spending some hot autumn nights together.
