Mass Effect 3's upcoming single-player DLC detailed
The Wii U version confirmed as a launch title.
The next piece of single-player Mass Effect DLC was revealed earlier today during EA's Summer Showcase event.
Due later this summer on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, the $10 or 800 Microsoft Points DLC thrusts players into the darkest corners of the galaxy where Shepard must hunt a creature named Leviathan rumoured to be able to destroy the Reapers. A post on BioWare's blog explained that you'll be able to "unravel the dark history of the Reaper race."
Additionally, the expansion will open up new areas of the Citadel, introduce new characters and unlock both the AT-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus assault rifle.
As we discovered last month, Leviathan appears to be a Reaper itself. How does it hide that fact? Maybe it wears a fake moustache or something.
BioWare also noted that it would release the Firefight weapons pack on 7th August. The 160 Microsoft Point (£1.36) DLC adds two new weapons and five bonus weapons to the single-player campaign.
Elsewhere in the post, BioWare confirmed that the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 will be a launch title for Nintendo's upcoming platform.
The Wii U version will contain all new controls tailored to the console, bonus DLC including the extended cut of the ending, and an interactive back story bringing new players up to speed in the Mass Effect universe while allowing them to make important decisions along the way.
