UPDATE: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the next mainline game in the Like a Dragon series, previously announced as Like a Dragon 8. Publisher Sega has confirmed the game will be released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.
Developer RGG Studio will have more details on its upcoming games, including Like a Dragon Gaiden, at its showcase on 15th June.
ORIGINAL STORY 6.36pm: A new Like a Dragon game has just been announced at Xbox Games Showcase called Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
I'm not sure what's happening, neither is protagonist Kasuga Ichiban, but the trailer and title of the game are exactly the kind of frivolous fun we've come to expect from the Like a Dragon series. The trailer shows a very naked Ichiban waking up on a beach somewhere in America. I don't know either, pals.
Developer RGG Studio has shared the game's plot will revolve around Ichiban and series poster boy Kazuma Kiryu on a "larger-than-life RPG adventure" set off by an "unexpected chain of events". It sounds like Infinite Wealth will follow the turn-based party combat introduced to the series in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is slated for an early 2024 release on Xbox and PC.
