There's finally a release date for Westwood Studios upcoming Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun expansion, Firestorm. We can expect this expansion to be out this month but we know Westwood and release dates, two things that just doesn't match. Although, it would be nice to see it out this month but I'm still not sure if I will pick it up or not, because I was awfully disappointed in C&C: Tiberian Sun.

A new version of the nifty little server-browsing program, Gamespy 3D has been released for registered users (only). This version adds support for both Quake III: Arena and BattleZone II, expect a shareware version to be released soon. Download Gamespy 3D v2.19 from File Planet.

Kenn Hoekstra, Raven's Project Administrator just updated his .plan with some more brief information about the PlayStation 2 title that Brian Raffel mentioned in his .plan yesterday. Currently 90% of Raven are working on Soldier of Fortune and Voyager: Elite Force, then they will concentrate on this PSX2 title (for now, Jake Simpson, Pat Lipo and Gil Gribb are the only ones playing with this project).

The latest patch for Unreal Tournament has been released, fixing a number of (mostly minor) problems, including an amusing typo in the mission briefing for AS-Rook ("destroy the "winch", not the "wench"") and a problem with demo playback. The patch also makes the warhead explosion louder and makes gibs bloodier (woohoo!) amongst other improvements.
