E3 will remain in Los Angeles for next three years
No sojourn to Vegas while Farmer's Field reconstruction happens.
E3 will remain in Los Angeles for the next three years, the Entertainment Software Association has announced - quashing rumours of a sojourn to Vegas while the West Hall of the LA Convention Center is constructed into the gigantic new Farmer's Field stadium.
E3 2013 will officially take place at the LA Convention Center, as well as at LA Live and various other places in downtown LA - as was the case this year.
E3 2012 brought 45,700 people together over three days, and was apparently worth $40 million to Los Angeles.
"ESA supports AEG's mission and vision for downtown Los Angeles and the areas surrounding the Los Angeles Convention Center," ESA CEO Michael D. Gallagher commented.
"We appreciate AEG's willingness to work in partnership with our organisation to not only create a construction schedule to accommodate the needs of our guests, but also their commitment to incorporate many of our suggestions into the design of the new venues.
"These resulting upgrades to the facility will truly benefit all conventions and further establish Los Angeles as industry leaders. We are glad we could come to an agreement that keeps E3 in its traditional home."
E3 2013 is expected to be the biggie - the time and place for Microsoft and Sony to unveil their next generation home consoles.
