Universe at War delayed
PC version slips to 2008.
SEGA has confirmed that the PC version of Universe at War: Earth Assault has tumbled from October into the murky waters of early 2008.
No concrete reason was given for the delay, but a wise man once told us that things like this often happen while games undergo rigorous beta testing.
On paper, it means the PC and 360 versions will launch much more closely to each other, although a date for the console offering is still "to be confirmed" in 2008.
Universe at War is the real-time strategy Goliath from Star Wars: Empire at War developer Petroglyph. Big among the bragging rights this time is a persistent online multiplayer world, where you lot will continually battle for control of the Universe.
It is also another title that boasts the much-advertised cross-platform PC and 360 play, using the Live and Windows Live services - much like Shadowrun earlier in the year.
