UK Charts: Fight Night 4 the champ
But fellow newcomers disappoint.
Fight Night Round 4 has become the first boxing game to top the UK All-Formats chart upon release. Perhaps it will now go to America and never be heard of again.
The EA Sports game leads a long list of newcomers this week, although few fare anywhere near as well - the only other top 10 débutante being Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at six.
Overlord II spends its first week at 17, while siblings Overlord: Dark Legend on Wii and Overlord: Minions on DS miss both All-Formats and platform-specific charts.
Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits enters the All-Formats top 40 at 18, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite - despite the concerted marketing efforts of Capcom and Sony - opens at only 25.
Even further down is newcomer Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires at 31, which has Spore: Galactic Adventures and Tales of Vesperia following at 37 and 38 respectively.
Other newcomers missing the All-Formats top 40 are Another Code R, which takes 18 in the Wii chart, Anno 1404 at 14 in the PC chart, and Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits at 29 in the DS chart.
Those missing all lists whatsoever are Resident Evil: Archives on Wii, Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero? on PSP and Superstars V8 Racing on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Diabolik's performance is just that, as the DS, PC, PS2 and Wii title also misses out.
