UK chart: Pok¨Śmon, Beyond fail to dislodge GTA 5
X and Y sales double that of Black and White 2.
High-profile releases from both Nintendo and Sony have failed to budge Grand Theft Auto 5 off the UK all-format chart top spot.
GTA5 retook pole position this week from FIFA 14, which slipped into second place.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y charted separately in third and fourth - and it's important to note that had their figures been combined, it may have been a different story. Digital copies are also not tracked. Regardless, numbers company Chart-Track noted that X and Y's sales figures were around double that of last year's DS sequels Black and White 2.
PlayStation 3 exclusive Beyond: Two Souls turned up in fifth, meanwhile. There's no word on how many that's sold compared to Quantic Dream's previous release Heavy Rain, which won the UK chart top spot back in 2010.
Other new launches last week included Dragon's Crown (in 19th place) and another Moshi Monsters game, Katsuma Unleashed (in at number 28).
