$1m up for grabs in the next Call of Duty Championship
Ghosts updates based on eSports feedback.
Activision is stumping up a whopping $1m for the next Call of Duty Championship.
The tournament, which begins on 28th March in Los Angeles, will see the 32 best Call of Duty teams from across the globe compete for a share of the $1m prize purse. It'll be streamed on Xbox Live and MLG.tv. For more on how to qualify for the tournament, check out MLG.com.
The news comes as Infinity Ward announced major changes to Call of Duty: Ghosts based on feedback from the eSports community.
These updates will be rolled out soon, appearing as both hot fixes and title updates, as Infinity Ward community manager Tina Palacios explained on the Call of Duty website. Check the post for the patch notes.
Of interest to all Ghosts players is Palacios' promise that Infinity Ward plans to tackle the game's widely criticised spawn system.
"As a guiding principle, development priority is assigned to those issues which we deem to have the largest immediate impact or those affecting the broadest group of players," she said.
