Portrait of the Witcher as an Old Man
Acquired form the portrait painter in the south east corner of the square in Beauclair; what triggers his appearance is unknown.
Speak to the painter and then meet him by the gate at noon and follow him for a while, first on horseback and then on foot. When you reach the appointed spot you'll have to hunt for his paints - use Witcher Sense to examine the spilled paint just to the south of the path and then follow the trail down the hill and into a cave full of Nekkers.
Take care of them and then grab the paints and return to the painter. Follow him again, then choose a pose in which to be immortalised - after a brief cutscene a Griffin will swoop in to attack.
Destroy the beast, and then reconvene with the painter the following day to admire his handiwork and buy it to hang in your house if you wish, and the quest is complete.
Our Witcher 3 walkthrough and guide can help you with the main story, including the Wandering in the Dark and Family Matters missions, and eventually, one of several Witcher 3 endings. Of Sheers and a Witcher We Sing
Speak to the troubadour near the waterfront on the south west side of Beauclair; you need to have completed Warble of a Smitten Knight but other triggers are unknown.
Knock down the door with Aard, examine the empty jars and blunt scissors downstairs before heading to the upper floor and reading the diary on the desk, then follow Le Papillion.
Shortly after passing through the cemetery you'll arrive at the first location from the map and come under attack from an Archspore. Chop it down to size, then follow Le Papillon again.
At the second location use Witcher Sense to examine the basket and then follow the trail through the undergrowth to a cave. Head inside to find your quarry - as the conversation ends, kill the disgruntled customer to end the quest.
