The Star Wars Day game sales and promotions
"I've got a bad feeling about this."
Looking for a Rey to spend your money? Ren look no further for it is Star Wars Day! M'az Kanata believe it!
There are promotions on Steam, GOG, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and the App Store. Google Play doesn't seem to be doing anything significant. There are a handful of promotions surrounding Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars Battlefront, including a PS4 and Origin discount to the game - and 50 per cent off on Xbox Live if you're a Gold member.
On Xbox Live the promotion is a bit naff: earn £3 promotional credit when you buy the film Force Awakens and play Star Wars Battlefront.
On PlayStation Store there are bunch of Star Wars games sales, including Battlefront for £25 (rather than £55!), Battlefront 2 (old game for PSP and Vita) for £2.50, and a retro Star Wars PS4 Mega Bundle for £16 (down from £29).
On Steam there are, naturally, many, many more deals to choose from. There's a Steam index listing the Star Wars deals, and they all seem to be 75 per cent off. That means old treasures like Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 for £1.74 a pop (remember mods, particularly for the latter, if you're playing these); Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast for £1.74 a pop; and I-quite-liked-it-actually The Force Unleashed for £3.74.
GOG has many similar discounts as well as two bundles to scratch your Star Wars itch. There is a Saber bundle for £15 that includes the KOTOR games and Jedi Academy/Outcast, and more; and a Blaster Bundle for £21.50 that includes Rogue Squadron and the X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter games.
It's hard to see exactly what the discounts are on the App Store but there's a promotional banner pointing to a list of games when you load it up.
