The Last of Us Part 2 - The Resort: All items and how to explore each area
How to complete The Resort and find everything along the way.
The Resort follows on from The Last of Us Part 2's Pushing Inland chapter.
This chapter continues Ellie's journey through Santa Barbara.
This features the final missable items in the game - so assuming you have everything until this point, you should be earning the final set of collectible-related Trophies.

Reaching The Resort in Last of Us Part 2
You start this chapter with a new weapon - the Silenced Sub-Machine Gun. Assuming you have picked up every other weapon so far, you'll get a Trophy for the trouble.
The house in front of you as sentries out front and to the side to clear. It's the perfect excuse to try the Sub-Machine Gun - it's a good stealth alternative to the bow and silenced pistol, and most enemies here will have ammo to top you up.
This house has supplies but nothing missable. Progress past it to find another further building across the street, with enemies coming out of it.
There's a new enemy type here - sentries with helmets. You cannot easily headshot these, but you can still sneak up and stealth kill them, or take them down with an arrow to the chest.
Clear or stealth past these - and search the building for more supplies - and out front you'll see a tracks sign. The tracks are just to the right.
Go along and to the van with the rattler symbol on the side. Interact with it for a Journal Entry.
Continue behind the van to some train carriages. Enter through the door, grab the supplies within, and out the other side.
Climb up the ladder for a cutscene.
How to enter The Resort
Hug the left wall for a ledge with some bin bags and crates on the far end, where you can find some supplies.
If you go back along the ledge to the corner, there's a corpse with the Santa Barbara Slave Note Artefact next to it.
Opposite this ledge is a blue train. Crawl underneath and go through the fence to enter the compound.
Exploring the outer compound in The Resort
On the left are two soldiers taunting a chained up infected. Wait until they walk off, then interact with the chain to release it and cause a distraction.
It's worth clearing everyone out here to use the Workbench in the central tent, and grab the supplies dotted around.
There is a two-floor building in front of the tent with supplies, too.
When ready, look to the left of the central tent to see a lit up room down below, and a 4 on the upper floor above.
Go in this room and look on the table to the right for the Sparkthug Trading Card.
Now slide through the broken door in the corner.
To proceed, climb over the bordered up window on the far side of the room.
Reaching the tall round building in The Resort
You'll then be in deeper into the compound, and another enemy filled area.
There is another chained up infected in front of you; if you hug the right side, you can make your way to it, allowing you to release the chain to cause a distraction.
There are two clickers in the pool beyond the central structure, too - you can do the same there if you like.
In this area, you need to get past the gate which leads up the stairs just past the pool with the clickers.
To do this, go through the doorway to the left of the gate, past the bed, to a stairwell with foliage above it at the end.
At the top, go right to more beds, and the Ratter's Letter Home Artefact on the table to the right, which is the last one of the game.
Now turn around, past the stairs so you go right round the corner to the area above the gate.
You'll now go through an outdoor seating area. More enemies will emerge - enter the building as cover if needed.
To progress, go through the last door outside, then hug the right wall to find a stairwell going down.
Go through the double doors at the bottom.
After that, continue down the corridor and through the door for a cutscene.
Now go down the corridor, though another door, and follow the route until the wall. Leap down below to end the chapter.
The Beach follows on immediately.
