The Last of Us Part 2 - On Foot: All items, and how to explore all areas explained
How to complete the On Foot chapter and find everything along the way.
On Foot follows on from The Last of Us Part 2's The Stadium section.
This sees the group make their way back to safe WLF territory after having to abandon their truck.
There are plenty of missable items to find along the way, which we explain throughout this page.

How to leave the warehouse in On Foot
Once the shutter closes, you're in a dimly lit warehouse.
As soon as you begin, turn right and grab the Kentucky Coin from the corner table.
Continue through the warehouse until you hear infected. They are throughout the aisles here - they are just runners, so stealth what you can and if you get attacked, dodge and melee the rest.
Once clear, it's time to get moving again.
To leave the warehouse, you have to climb up to the window in the far wall. Abby and the group will point this out.
Start by climbing up the shelves next to you for some supplies, then jump across the aisle. There is a hammer you can take here.
Look across the room and you'll see a plank connecting this aisle and another aisle, with supplies shining on a table.
To get there, move around this section until you reach the plank, then across.
To exit is now in sight.
To get there, turn left and leap across to the next aisle.
Surprise! The walkway will now collapse. After the cutscene, fight off the wave of infected. There are several clickers here, as well as a shambler, so use the full area to back away if needed.
Once clear, follow the duo through the clear aisle. There are some supplies you can grab on the shelves throughout, so have an explore then we ready, inspect the double doors in the corner.
This is a gardening section of the warehouse.
On the left is a row of checkouts. At the very end is a Massachusetts Coin.
There's also some crafting supplies next to the Coin, and dotted on shelves and in sheds throughout the area if you fancy grabbing them.
To leave the gardening area, by the corner sheds is another hole in the wall, where you can climb out via the car.
Exploring the Boat Repair building in On Foot
You're now outside. To progress, check the Boat Repair building on the far left side, where there's a rope hanging down at the corner.
Climb up and interact with it to give Manny a leg up. He will then toss the rope down for you to climb.
On the roof, grab the rope and throw it into the building, then climb down.
Interact with the locker blocking the door to let Mel and Alice inside.
Scour the room for supplies before following them through, and do the same again, checking upstairs and on the shelves.
There's a Workbench on the lower ground, too.
To continue, go to the giant corrugated door and use the crank next to it.
How to get to the hatch in On Foot
With the crank broken, you must now reach the hatch at the upper corner.
After the cutscene, chat to Mel and follow her to where she asks to boost you up.
She will now walk across and open the locked door on the upper floor. Take the staircase in the corner to get up.
On this upper walkway, the aim is to get across the boat to the hatch. There is a ladder here to help.
Before you go across, plant it on the wall behind, so you get onto the roof of the room you just came through.
On the table are supplies and the Ohio Coin.
Drop back down and place the ladder across to the boat, and head across.
Enter the boat for supplies and the David Vs Goliath Training Manual, adding the Covert Ops training branch.
To get to the hatch from the boat, grab the ladder and put it to the other side.
Now grab the rope on top of the boat and throw it over the girder above where you placed the ladder.
You can then walk across the ladder, leap onto the rope, and climb up to the walkway.
Follow Mel to the hatch ladder, then off the roof to the ground outside, meeting back up with Manny.
Before you follow them round the corner, there's a building in the middle of this area you can enter.
Go round the back to see some windows. Throw a brick or bottle - or use a bullet - to smash the window. Climb inside.
There's an Indiana Coin on the desk to collect.
Opposite is the WLF Gun Cache Note Artefact.
This hints at a safe code - with the "the big win as the combination".
If you inspect the cork-board, you will see the numbers 17-38-07 circled on a lotto ticket. That's the big win it's referring to.
To find the safe, exit the building. Manny and Mel will go alongside a building and a fence. As soon as you get past the corner, enter the hole in the wall to the right.
As well as supplies, there is the safe.
Use safe code 17-38-07 to get the Hunting Pistol and some ammo.
Now go through the fence and drop down to the train tracks below.
Train tracks area of On Foot
This long stretch is full of Scars. Use the carriages as cover to move from one to the next and push on towards the end.
To escape, there is a red cargo container with a ladder at the very end on the left.
Climb up, go through the fence, then interact with the gate using the button prompt.
You'll now be at a gas station with Scars advancing. Sprint into the gas station to the right and hide behind the counter. Fight them until WLF reinforcements arrive.
Once the battle ends, grab any ammo from the bodies, then interact with the back of the truck to end the chapter.
