Sword & Sworcery LP announced
Superbrothers soundtrack out next week.
A collection of tunes that both inspired and were inspired by recent iOS gem Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery goes on sale from 5th April.
As revealed on the game's official site, Sword & Sworcery LP: The Ballad of the Space Babies is the work of Canadian indie rock luminary Jim Guthrie, who composed the music for the Capybara-developed adventure title.
A vinyl version including 14 songs and a limited edition art print will be available from various retailers for $30; while a digital version featuring 28 songs will be available without DRM from Bandcamp for $8.99 or iTunes for $7.99.
"You can't hear all the music at once [in the game] because it's mixed differently than the album and spread out over the entire experience," said Guthrie, explaining the album's raison d'etre.
"One of our earliest goals for the game was to create a space that could also be described as 'an album you can walk through.' That concept changed a bit along the way, but I always wrote the music with the album in mind."
Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP hit the App Store earlier this month, winning a 7/10 from Eurogamer's John Teti.
