Suda51 wants to make No More Heroes 3
But it won't happen any time soon.
Japanese game maker Goichi "Suda51" Suda wants to create another No More Heroes, but admitted it's unlikely to happen soon.
"Although it won't happen soon, I'd like to do it at some point," he said at a Grasshopper Manufacture charity event, reported by Famitsu and translated by Andriasang.
On stage he pointed to character designer Yusuke Kozaki and mecha designer Shigeto Koyama and added, "Let's make it together."
Apparently the development team has enough unused characters floating about following the development of the first two No More Heroes to make two more.
The quirky No More Heroes series has impressed critics, but failed to find commercial success. The first game, a 2008 Wii exclusive, managed an 8/10 in Eurogamer's review.
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle followed in 2010, again on Wii. It also managed an 8/10.
Meanwhile, Grasshopper unveiled an iPhone charity app called Frog Minutes, out now on the App Store. All proceeds from the sale of it go to the Red Cross to aid in earthquake relief efforts.
Suda51 is collaborating with Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami on Shadows of the Damned, a horror game due out in the summer.
