Star Wars: The Old Republic's next story expansion dated for February
Subscriber Rewards detailed.
Star Wars: The Old Republic's Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion is getting a new chapter - the first of seven - with Anarchy in Paradise, due 11th February.
Subscribers of The Old Republic will receive all of the content in Knights of the Fallen Empire for free, so long as they maintain their subscription. New players will be able to jump in at level 60.
Developer BioWare offered the following synopsis of Anarchy in Paradise's story:
"Anarchy in Paradise introduces a new ally, an infamous mercenary known as Firebrand. Her mission is to destroy the Eternal Empire by attacking Zakuul and crushing the seat of power, the Eternal Throne, by any means necessary. It will be up to the Outlander to decide just how far he or she is willing to go to beat the Eternal Emperor. Players will experience the grim consequences of their past decisions and feel the grip of the hand of fate on their dangerous journey."
BioWare also launched a new Subscriber Rewards program that offers bonus goodies to dedicated fans. Players who subscribe prior to 11th January will receive HK-55 as a permanent personal companion, and the first day of each month from February through August subscribers will receive an in-game item related to HK-55's gear and weapons along with two-day Early Access to that month's new chapter.
Subscribe by 1st February and receive the HK-55-inspired Jetpack Mount, and those who remain subscribed from 11th January through August will gain access to a bonus chapter in which they can play as HK-55.
Eurogamer contributor Richard Cobbett found Knights of the Fallen Empire to be a return to form for BioWare's Star Wars canon. "I had more fun with Knights of the Fallen Empire than with anything else The Old Republic has offered," he stated in his impressions from November.
"If you tried it and reluctantly bounced off it back in the day, it's well worth the download to give it a second chance," he added in a follow-up piece about the current state of The Old Republic.
