Spec Ops dev Yager is also making PC game Dreadnought
Fly massive spaceships in aerial armada battles.
Three aircraft go on a bombing run together. They see their target, arm their warheads and then... SMASH! An absolutely enormous spaceship warps from nowhere to ram them out of the sky.
Presumably it's a dreadnought - a dreadnought in Dreadnought, developer Yager's "aerial armada" PC game.
That's Yager of underrated Spec Ops fame - the same studio revealed to be the developer of the newly announced Dead Island 2. Those 130 people at the Berlin studio will be busy.
Dreadnought is an "aerial armada game", then, with a sci-fi vibe and an "intense, tactical feel", says the blurb on the game's Facebook page.
"Players take command of massive capital ships in the sky within the title's core competitive and cooperative multiplayer suite and its episodic, single-player, story-driven campaign.
"Distinguished by a range of classes, subclasses, and varied progression paths, each warship is a force to be reckoned with, bristling with dynamic armaments and fully customizable to make your opponents crumble beneath the might of your bow."
It's powered by Unreal Engine 4 and it's due for public testing early in 2015.
Grey Box is publishing. This is a small and relatively new outfit that popped up recently as the publisher for Petroglyph's new game Grey Goo.
