Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is heading to iPad this year
Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Frozen City due tomorrow, too.
Developer of the long-running Sherlock Holmes series of games Frogwares has announced that its 2006 detective meets Cthulhu mashup Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is heading to iPad this year.
The game was well-received upon its arrival in the times of yore and a remastered version came out in 2008 that allowed players to play the game in third-person. We're not sure if that option is included in the iOS release, but we've sent in a request for comment and hope to shed some light on this mystery shortly.
Our Dan Whitehead gave the original release a 6/10, where he criticised it for being overly linear with too great an emphasis on pixel hunting, but noted "the story in question is an absolute belter" in his Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened review.
Publisher Focus Home Interactive also announced that the good detective's 3DS debut, Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Frozen City, is due tomorrow. That was quick!
Mystery of the Frozen City was developed by Frogware's new casual game studio Waterlily Games. It looks a bit Professor Laytony based on its freshly launched official site.
