Shantae: Half-Genie Hero's crowdfunding campaign ends doubling its goal
Will have two bonus chapters and three additional costumes.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, the latest project from Bloodrayne: Betrayal and Might Switch Force developer WayForward, has ended its Kickstarter at $776,084, nearly double that of its $400K goal.
When one factors in Paypal donations ($35,878), Half-Genie Hero actually surpassed the $800K mark with $811,962, greenlighting a second bonus chapter as a stretch goal. Other funded stretch goals include another extra chapter, a bonus campaign where you play as antagonist pirate Risky Boots, and three additional costumes - each with their own rebalanced stats and special moves.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is set to launch on August 2014 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Vita, Vita TV, Wii U, and PC.
