Resident Evil HD remaster sells 1m copies
Revelations 2 gets new costumes.
Capcom has sold more than 1m copies of its recent Resident Evil HD remaster.
The game's 2015 relaunch arrived back in January for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
This latest version of the 1996 original is a smartened up version of an earlier re-release: the remastered 2002 GameCube edition.
"[Resident Evil HD's success] is in part because the dev team made a great product, but also because of the excellent word of mouth and general praise fans shared about the title," Capcom wrote in a new blog post.
"We want to thank everyone for rediscovering this modern classic - or thank you for trying it for the first time."
2015 has also seen the launch of episodic spin-off Resident Evil Revelations 2, which today received a sprinkling of new content.
Four fresh costumes are being added in a new update that begins rolling out today. Gina gets two new attires - Lady Hunk and Rachel, while Pedro gets an alternate Mutant Pedro skin.
Finally, Cipher will now be able to dress up as Lottie the demonic teddy bear. Because why not.
