Psychonauts 2 finally releases gameplay trailer, confirms 2019 release
Nervous wait.
At long last, the first official Psychonauts 2 gameplay trailer is here - and it's looking very promising.
Along with pretty much all other news at the moment, the trailer was unveiled at The Game Awards, and gave fans a look at Psychonaut HQ, the Motherlobe. Raz is back, and as ever he's going to have to use his acrobatic skills and psychic powers to navigate the dangerous "hidden secrets" of the Motherlobe. It's all very mysterious and weird, and all very Psychonauts.
The trailer confirms that the game is due to release in 2019. Psychonauts 2 was originally due to release this year - but back in January, Double Fine announced the game needed longer in development to bring it up to standard.
Psychonauts 2 is being published by Starbreeze Studios, which lately has been having a rather rough time with financial problems and a raid on its offices to arrest someone for insider trading. Judging by the trailer, however, it seems Starbreeze still expects this to release next year.
