Pok¨Śmon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - Route 10 and Outer Cape
Our in-progress walkthrough for the whole Pok¨Śmon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon island challenge and beyond.
Route 10 and Malie Outer Cape are two small routes out of Malie City - the first taking you towards your next objective, and the second an optional breakout area with a few items and Pokémon to discover.
Here on this page we'll explain all you need to know about the story and main events as they unfold here, and as with all pages of our walkthrough we'll highlight any and all trainers, items and wild Pokémon available to catch as well.
For more general guides and other walkthrough pages like this meanwhile, head back to our main Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon walkthrough and guide hub.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Malie Outer Cape
As an optional area there isn't a huge amount to do here, barring the usual handful of trainers, Pokémon and items.
Talk to Samson Oak for another Poké Ball, catch yourself some Pokes, and then move on to the south-west and Route 10!
TRAINERS POKEMON ITEMSFor more on Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon, head to our main Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon walkthrough and guide hub, which includes guides to new Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Pokémon and Pokédex changes, the Festival Plaza, a list of Global Missions and rewards, an explainer on Pokémon Bank, a dedicated page on Pokémon Competitive Training, including IV Training, EVs and hidden stats, Breeding 6IV Pokémon explained and how to farm Bottle Caps fast for Hyper Training. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Route 10
Route 10 is the direction to go if you want to progress through the story. A long and narrow route to the bottom of Mount Hokulani, the most notable event here is the woman at the start of the route.
Talk to her, and she'll give you the task of rounding up all eight of her missing Stufful. They're dotted around the route in fairly easy-to-find locations - basically keep your eyes on your surroundings as you go and look behind everything, and you'll be fine.
She offers you a tasty $15,000 and a Muscle Band as a reward. Otherwise, keep an eye out for rustling trees, which will chuck rare Pokémon at you as you pass by - including Skarmory and Pineco - and at the end of the route there's a pair of Team Skull Grunts that need dealing with.
Defeat both of them and Kukui will arrive, instructing you to hop on the bus (done by interacting with the Bus Stop sign) up the mountain. There's no other way to get up there, so once you're done on this route, jump on board!
