How to start Request 8 'Bothersome Bidoof' in Pokémon Legends Arceus
Bothersome Bidoof is an early-game Request in Pokémon Legends Arceus, and requires a few steps to complete.
First, head to the front gate in Jubilife Village - it's at the top right corner of the map. There's a guard dressed in red to the left of the gate itself, this is Tsumugi, and after you talk to her she'll accidentally let three Bidoof into the village.
Now that you have the quest, you need to have a Bidoof in your party, there are two easy ways to do this.
If you don't have a Bidoof, walk out the front gate and go to the Fieldlands Camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands to catch one.
Walk along the main path, and then as you make your way down the hill there will be a few Bidoof just roaming around. Once you've caught one, you'll either have it in your party (if you had any free spaces to begin with), or you'll need to go and put the Bidoof in your party.
Once you're back in Jubilife Village head left over the bridge and to the Village Pastures, talk to Marie, swapping the Bidoof with any of the Pokémon currently in your party.
If you have already caught a Bidoof, you don't need to have gone and got one, instead just add the Pokémon to your party as you would if you followed the steps to catch one.
The three Bidoof locations in Jubilife Village
With a Bidoof in your party, it's time to catch the three making trouble in the village.
You'll find all three locations in the picture below, with the yellow Poké Balls marking where the Bidoof are. More specific guides for each are written further down.
For the first Bidoof, head towards Galaxy Hall from the front gate, and they will be along the house nearest to the Hall, the location is marked on the map below and in a picture. Walk up to the Bidoof, a cutscene will play and Tsumugi will congratulate you, now there's only two left.
The second Bidoof is in the south part of the village, behind the row of houses on the left. The location has been marked in the below images, with another in-game one to help you see exactly where the Bidoof is. The Bidoof is next to a fence near the house at the bottom left. It's best to go right to the bottom and then just circle the fence, you'll see the Bidoof very quickly.
The third and final Bidoof is towards the bottom right corner of the village, at the very end of the fence for the Village Pastures, if you follow the fence down you can easily spot the Pokémon. If you follow the bottom path from where the second Bidoof is, you'll spot the third one on the right near a tree. We've marked the location in the below images.
Once you've found all three, a short cutscene will play, and that's the end of the quest!
Our Pokémon Legends Arceus walkthrough will help you pick a starter Pokémon and win the Kleavor boss fight. You’re also tasked with filling the Hisui Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions like Kleavor by evolving Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving Stantler, Sneasler by evolving Hisui Sneasel and Overquil by evolving Hisui Qwilfish. There’s a host of new evolution methods, including ones for the Eevee evolutions. Take the time to complete Requests too, such as The Sea’s Legend, Wurmple’s Evolved! and finding the Wisp locations. Don’t forget to track down every Unown location too.
Bothersome Bidoof reward
Once the Bidoof are dealt with, you'll receive a simple, yet incredibly useful reward.
For completing the Request you'll be given one Rare Candy, which increases the level of your Pokémon by one.
Remember though, a Rare Candy will put your Pokémon at the very start of the next level with no experience, so don't use it when a Pokémon has nearly leveled up, but use it when the experience bar has filled as little as possible.
