No Resident Evil Zero Wii for Europe
Japan-only release "most likely".
Capcom isn't planning to bring the Wii version of Resident Evil Zero to the US or Europe, the publisher said today.
"We currently have no plans to bring the Wii version of Resident Evil 0 that you saw in Famitsu yesterday to either US or Europe at this point in time," a spokesperson told Eurogamer.
"It will most likely be a Japan-only release."
Resident Evil Zero was originally released on GameCube back in the olden days, and was the second proper Cube Resi after the Resident Evil 1 remake.
Unlike the latter-day Resi 4, Zero deployed Resi's old-school control system and rule-set, complete with all your old favourites like door-opening animations, shifting camera perspectives rather than third-person and little in the way of context-sensitive activity.
The Famitsu shots suggest we won't see much change to the control scheme, so it's unlikely to reflect the Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition elements that you all liked and we didn't like so much. Which is what Bertie meant to say yesterday, obviously, but he was in a rush.
We'll let you know if Capcom changes its mind.
