Nintendo finally unveils the last Smash Bros. amiibo
Plus three new Link figurines, and three more Splatoon figures.
The last few Super Smash Bros. amiibo have been given a release date - nearly three years after the game launched for Wii U and 3DS.
Final Fantasy's Cloud, Bayonetta and Fire Emblem's Corrin were all shown off in last night's Nintendo Direct broadcast. Each of the three will come in two variants, and all six will launch here in the UK on 21st July.
These figures were confirmed a long while ago - and there's been no reason given for the long wait. Some had suspected Nintendo was waiting on the launch of a potential Super Smash Bros. port for Nintendo Switch.
Perhaps by the time these amiibo launch, after E3, we may know more. Or maybe Nintendo will release these in July as part of a plan to seemingly move on from past systems and focus entirely on Switch.
Last night's Direct broadcast also brought confirmation of seven other amiibo figures, including a Hey! Pikmin amiibo tied into the launch of the upcoming 3DS spin-off.
The remaining figures included three more Splatoon toys - Inkling Boy, Girl and a purple squid - for use with Splatoon 2. You'll be able to tap these into your game to get extra costumes after they launch on 21st July.
Lastly, Nintendo will launch three more Link figurine variants as part of its 30th anniversary Zelda range - each of which were previously leaked via Breath of the Wild's in-game files.
Majora's Mask Link, Twilight Princess Link and Skyward Sword Link will unlock costume items from their respective games within Breath of the Wild, similar to other Zelda series amiibo, and go on sale on 23rd July.
