Nine minutes of the Mass Effect 3 anime prequel
Starring Freddie Prinze Jr.
Mass Effect 3 developer BioWare has released nine minutes of footage from the game's upcoming anime prequel, Paragon Lost.
Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed's Freddie Prinze Jr. reprises his role as beefcake-with-a-heart James Vega - he's the annoying one who called you nicknames and forced you into a pretend boxing match.
The extended footage shows Vega in his early days, fighting krogans and vorcha as his squad comes under attack.
The direct-to-DVD film is set during the events of Mass Effect 2, when the insectoid Collectors were still at large - they're the main baddies of the piece.
Mass Effect: Paragon Lost is headed to DVD and Blu-Ray on 28th December in the US. A UK release date hasn't been set, but those with region-free players can import it from Amazon.
