Capcom to support next-gen
All three formats. The publisher also plans to unveil a hitherto unseen project in Japan this week at the Tokyo Game Show.
Capcom is committed to developing products for all three next generation console platforms, board executive Kazuhiro Abe told Bloomberg Japan this week, despite the company's recent mixed fortunes.
"We will be supplying games for the next generation video game consoles that should be released around the end of 2005 by Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo," he said. Xbox 2 is expected to be unveiled in January, while PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Revolution will likely take their bows at E3 in May.
In the meantime, Capcom has also started trailing one of its big Tokyo Game Show announcements, popping up a Japanese teaser page featuring a few words and the date September 24th 2004 - the first day of the show.
The words - "Alone, I open my eyes. The nightmare continues..." - are a little cryptic to say the least, and speculation seems a little pointless right now, but we'll be sure to let you know what comes of it all tomorrow.
