Budget priced Wario Ware Cube dated
Still cheap. Still great.
Nintendo has sent forth word that Wario Ware, Inc.: Mega Party Game$ will be released in Europe on September 3rd, some five months on from its outing in North America and many more still since its release in Japan. Fortunately, the game will retain its budget price point in Europe, retailing for €30, which is bound to mean £19.99 in the UK.
This is certainly good news for Cube owners, but mainly for those of us who have been banging on about Wario Ware since its phenomenal debut on the Game Boy Advance - a phenomenon largely ignored by the buying public, we might add. We only hope that the price point can help the multiplayer-oriented Mega Party Game$ make up for its progenitor's poor performance at retail.
Wario Ware, for those who missed it, was famed for its lightning barrage of simplistic mini-games, which rattled past at a rate of knots and forced you to react to them more than anything else. Mega Party Game$ continues with this approach for single players (in fact, the single-player mode is actually lifted from the GBA version), and builds on things with a series of increasingly obscure (but hugely enjoyable) tasks for groups.
We should have more on the Cube Wario Ware in the near future.
