Turtle Rock doing Source game
Through Steam, obviously.
Turtle Rock Studios, the company that was once parachuted in to salvage Counter-Strike: Condition Zero for Valve, is to develop a new Source-based title for PCs, which will be released - predictably enough - through Valve's Steam digital distribution system.
Apart from Condition Zero, which Turtle Rock got involved in when the game was thrust back into development following negative early reviews, the developer's previously contributed to rather than been ultimately responsible for games - with credits for working with EA on Red Alert II: Yuri's Revenge and Command & Conquer: Generals amongst its credits.
"Working with Source and Steam allows us unprecedented flexibility in our development process, provides instantaneous world-wide distribution, and affords us the creative freedom to focus on building a game universe of our very own." said top Turtle Michael Booth. "We're excited to be working with this technology and to reveal more about the project over the coming year."
Which would be good, since we really don't know anything else!
