Over G Fighters for Xbox 360
World Air Force renamed for us.
Ubisoft's announced plans to publish Taito's Xbox 360 jet fighter game Over G Fighters in Europe. Known to those of you in touch with the console's Japanese line-up as World Air Force, OGF pits trusty old you against the mean old terrorists, who seem to have got hold of yet more planes, only this time they're going to shoot at other planes in them (weirdoes).
As part of a united world air force, you get to buzz the skies over Europe, Asia, Africa and North America (presumably all the other skies are boring), shooting at enemies in the air and on the ground over the course of 80 missions, each with its own varying objectives.
In the cockpit you'll be able to enjoy an eye-breaking 360 degrees of vision (we think they mean they've modelled the entire cockpit interior, actually), hearing stuff in 5.1 surround sound, and flying around in (deep breath) the F-22A Raptor, F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16C Fighting Falcon, F/A-18C Hornet, Su-27 Flanker, MiG-29A Fulcrum, F-117A Nighthawk and other planes with silly names.
You can also record your exploits and view them back later in a special replay mode, and Taito/Ubi's promising eight-player dogfighting and co-op over Xbox Live. As you can see from the screenshots, it's already quite well advanced, and we should hear more about its release date in the near future we'd expect.
