More Law from Capcom
Harvey Birdman gets a game.
Capcom's letter of the Law this morning is "H", which stands for Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law.
He's getting the PS2 and PSP treatment, and will be available to play in America this autumn. However, the game is yet to be confirmed for Europe.
Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law is a comedy cartoon series shown in the US as part of the late-night "Adult Swim" slot. It follows the adventures of a firm populated by superheroes and characters from 1960s Hanna-Barbera shows, particularly Birdman and the Galaxy Trio.
Each case you tackle as Birdman will be its own unique interactive story, introducing different characters, settings, and the sort of off-beat humour that's made the show so popular (it's in its seventh series now).
Exploring crime scenes will be your key to success in comical and bizarre cases, as will gathering evidence and talking to other cartoon characters. You'll also get the chance to share a drink with rival prosecutors, drilling them for any information they may have gathered. Then, when you eventually step into the courtroom, you'll be armed with enough ammunition to rip ridiculous holes in your opposing side's arguments.
"Combining Capcom's adventure game expertise with Adult Swim's Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law characters is an ideal match," said Jack Symon, director of marketing at Capcom.
"Capcom will be providing the game design direction while Harvey Birdman show writers will be assisting in bringing the stories to life with their unique brand of humor."
And given the success of Phoenix Wright, this could certainly be one to watch.
