Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition TU14 arrives today

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition's long-awaited new update launches today, developer Mojang has confirmed.

PlayStation 3 players will have to wait just a day longer: Title Update 14 arrives tomorrow for those on Sony's machine.

"It is finally here! TU14 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be out later today on Xbox 360 and tomorrow on PS3," Mojang wrote. "I hope you will enjoy it. Make sure you hook up your console to the internet to enjoy the latest update ;)"

The full changelog was made public last month and there are no major changes in the final release. Highlights include the introduction of emeralds - used for trading with NPC Villagers - plus new food items, potions, anvils and carpet.

Oh, and you can finally ride a pig holding a carrot on a stick.
